Tournament Rules

*Games will consist of two 10-minute halves with a 3-minute half time. The clock will run continuously with the exception of: injuries, referees’ time, the final minute of each period, and time-outs. If the game ends in a tie, there will be 3-minute overtime period with one time-out allotted per team.

*Time-Outs–Each team is entitled to one time-out per half, per game. The time-outs will be 45 seconds long and may be taken at any time during the game.

*Overtime–Overtime will consist of a 3-minute period.

*Scoring–All baskets inside the 3 point line count as 1. Those beyond the 3 point line will be counted as 2. The winning team will be the one ahead at the end of 20 minutes or the first to reach 21 points (whichever comes first).

*To begin the game or after a score, a player must pass the ball in play from beyond the check line (at the top of the key). The imaginary check line shall be the 3-point line.

*On defensive steals or rebounds, the ball must be returned to the check line, and the team in possession of the ball must maintain control and attempt to score. The player in possession of the ball on a rebound or steal does not have to pass the ball in play, they may retain possession.

*On every change of possession, the ball must be taken back behind the check-line.

*Ball possession changes after each made basket (no make-it-take-it).

*The game is self-officiated on the honor system.
